Mike is an industrial designer from Chicago, IL. with a strong interest in concept visualization  and sketching. He is a recent BFA grad from The university of Illinois @ Chicago and is currently  a designer at Vessel Ideation, a branding+packaging firm in Chicago. His skill set and experience  through his studies and professional opportunities have led to intrigue in all aspects of design ranging from graphic to hands-on fabrication and woodworking. Most of his days are spent helping to  design products that can enhance user experiences while remaining sustainable. Travel, photography, drawing and mountain biking occupy the rest.




"For this graphic competition, I looked at some of the most basic elements of what one  feels going down a river in a pristine location. What I imagined was a journey down a fluent line of water lined by towering pines. My whale entry was the result of pacific northwestern artistic style cues and sinuous aquatic shapes."
