My name is Sam Bevington and I am a nocturnal freelance illustrator from London currently living and working in Bristol.  I enjoy tea, cigarrettes, (plain) chocolate biscuits,  illustration and marmite on toast in that order. 

I based this design around the idea of old english sailor/prison tattoos to give the kayak a slightly retro feel as i thought this would make a nice contrast with the modern precision designed hull.  In the future I hope to be involved in more projects like this, designing graphics for kayaks, snowboards, skateboards and wakeboards.
