I use the Fuse to teach beginners. Here is one of my students learning all the basic strokes at Zim's Hot Springs. I had a friend in town the other day, and the water was a little bit below ideal for the Little Salmon. He took my Diesel, and I took my Fuse 48. It was rocky class III with lots of eddies and waves to catch. I was so stoked on the performance of the Fuse.
The Fuse was stable, easy to maneuver around rocks, and the high edges kept me comfortable on a run I would normally paddle my Diesel 70 on. I am excited to have a boat that my students can use in the pool and seamlessly take to the current for the first time. I know that this forgiving kayak won't have them tripping over their edges.
