A Grand Ethos

Admittedly, I wish it was me that was taking this trip again. But I was happy to see a handful of my friends get their first experiences with the epoch that is a Grand Canyon trip. Dave Hepp, the head of the US National Whitewater Center Paddlesports program, gave me a shout about a month ago asking if he could borrow my Ethos 10 for their 14 day trip.

I was happy to help him out, but once again I can't stress enough, I would have rather been going in this boat. My time will come as I have not only applied for a 2014 permit, but will be paddling Desolation Canyon this summer in an Ethos then. From what I hear, this will be the best multi-day boat yet.

Dude.... Thanks a ton for the Ethos. That thing rocked and I had a ball in it. I was singing its praises everyday and attempting to surf everything I could get on. It was awesome. I'll return her in a couple days.

He has still yet to return the boat...I might have to go and track it down. Video Courtesy of Austin Crane, Dave Hepp and Doug Fogartie, photos courtesy of Kyle Irby from my trip in 2009.
